Generation 1 ~ Giggles

Erm...yeah. I was quite stunned when I arrived at the science lab. The people who surrounded it where not normal. Berries aren't normal usually, but the facial features on that family was beyond weird or unual. I had such a craving to ask whether they were part of the experiments going on in the science lab.

" What are you staring at?" the girl with the pink hair asked.
I giggled a put on a straight face, " Nothing. I'm staring at absoulate nothing."

I was still laughing when I went into the science lab and got a job as a paranormal profiteer. With that job, I think I'll see those two again.

I wanted to learn the logic skill as a start to my career. I also wanted to read some logic books to make the learning easier. Having absoulately no money at all, I went the library. Unfortunately they had no skill books at all. The librarian I ran into...well. Lets just say she wasn't in a sweet mood.

Talking about sweet, the word is definately the description of the park. Every park had a chess table near the fountain, right? So my next destination was the park natrually. I'd just have to save a bit of money to buy a bookcase with logic books.

I sat at the fountain. It was so beautiful! I was mesmorised by the vibrant colours. For some reason, I felt like I belonged in this park. Maybe that's because it was turquise and shades of pink, just like my hair and skin. But, anyway. I sat at the fountain and looked around. No chess tables! My eyes caught a corner of the park. I sighed. There were the chess tables.

There was only one person at the chess tables. A small green woman with plaits and glasses. She concentrated on the game of chess. It wasn't like there was anybody on the other side. She seemed friendly enough though. People just judge looks to much these days.

" Hmm, your quite an interesting person. I've never really met many berries with more than one colour. All my life I've seen pure green berries."
" Yeah, suppose I am quite rare."

" Yes, is there anything you'd like?"

" Well," I sat down and inspected the game of chess, " I wouldn't mind a game to be honest. I'd like to gain some logic skill you see."
" So, you aren't here on a dare, or because you feel like winning 250 simoleons on you've been berried?"
" No," I made my move, " My name's Fate Arienne. I'm new in town."
" My name's Apple Montiri,"

We were having an amazing time. She was so interesting! I felt sorry for her to be honest. Apparently in high school she was bullied 24/7 because of her style and her accent. It wasn't that bad to be honest. It's just that it was a bit, posh.

Then, this boy came over. He looked about our age.

" Have you ladies seen a grey cat?"

I jumped from my game of chess, and shook his hand enthusiastically.

" My name's Fate Arienne," I said, trying to sound cool and sophisticated. Apple made a groaning noise.

" The name's Ash."

As he went away I could feel him placing a piece of paper into my hand. My hand trembled. His phone number!

After he left, I could hardly contain my giggles. It felt like high school again.

" Apple, Apple," I put my hand over my mouth, still in giggles, " The guy, Ash, I think he's soooo cute. I sound ridiculous, don't I."
Apple groaned, " You sure do."

Generation 1 ~ Prologue

So they weren't joking. They were serious. Absoulately serious. They weren't joking when they said that the only house within my budget is a wall, a sink, a fridge, a shower, a loo and an old green sleeping bag on the biggest plot in town. They were serious!

Okay, so I freaked out a bit. I had no money to buy anything. I had no job. No family. I came from an orphanage. My mother abondoned me because of my colours. Mixed berries aren't a crime really, they're just...unusual and rare to be honest. You will get an odd mixed berry in your school, but overall, people like my mum thought it was wrong. So that's why she dumped me in a rubbish bin.

I calmed myself down. I was going to be okay. After all, I had GCSES and A Levels. I wasn't a bad student after all. I could qualify for a good job, and quickly get my place fixed. Yeah, that calmed me down a lot. I was going to be okay.

' I'm going to be okay," I murmured to myself again. The painful memories of my past were the past. No more. I wasn't going to be the mixed Fate Arienne, a shy weird girl with love for anything. I was going to be a young adult, Fate Arienne, strong, succesful, adored. That was going to take a lot of work, but I was willing to take it on.
